WEEK FIVE: Toolbox For Success

All About Contracts

Action Steps

Read through all the contracts and note when you might use each one.

In the coming weeks you will get even more clarity as to which contract is used when. There may be some contracts you will never need but I have provided an example anyway.

Lesson Notes

Get familiar with all the clauses and addendums.

These are by no means an exhaustive set of clauses and addendums but they are the more commonly used ones. YOU DO NOT NEED NOR WANT TO USE THEM ALL IN EVERY CONTRACT. You need to choose or create the ones that represent the intentions of all parties.

Just because you don't find it here doesn't mean you can't created one for yourself; clauses and addendums are simply a written expression of all the parties' understanding of the agreement between you.

*NOTE I have provided watermarked examples because I cannot and will not give you legal advice. Once you decide on which contracts you need for each deal then you can have your lawyer review them for accuracy where you live.

We will cover much more in the zoom classes for this week's lessons so pay attention please. There are times to involve your lawyer and there are times when they just are not needed or where you can use/hire another professional at a more reasonable cost such as a paralegal or a notary.
